Germany - Bielefeld to Cologne

Nearby Paffendorf Castle was built in the 1500s then alrgely reconstructed in the 1800s. The two story mansion has multiple wings, defensive towers and is surrounded by moats. In 1958 a lignite mining company bought the castle and its lands.
